The 2017 Toastmasters UK South ‘District 91’ Conference was held in Southampton on 5-7 May, a once in a decade opportunity for the Southampton club to be right at the heart of national Toastmasters activity. The two day conference was opened by the Mayor of Southampton Cathy Mcewing and Toastmasters International Global President Mike Storkey who was visiting the UK from Australia specifically to attend the conference.

Conference delegates attended a range of educational workshops as well as spectating at the speech contests which formed the heart of the conference. Keynote speakers included Mark Brown, a previous winner of the Toastmasters International global speech contest.
